Mathare United Head Coach Stanley Okumbi believes that the recent activity in the transfer market is paying dividends as they approach their next game against Western Stima on Wednesday.

‘The new players have already integrated well,’ Okumbi said.

‘Andrew Tololwa and Ismail Dunga have already played as well as Ezekiel Seda being close to playing in the next game.’

In their last outing Ulinzi Stars came from behind to beat the Slum Boys, frustrating the Coach who is determined to fair better against Stima.

‘We are working hard as a team in training to try and minimise the mistakes we make,’ Okumbi said.

‘I am impressed with how the players are responding to this in training and with the acquisition of the new players from the recent concluded transfer window, I believe there will be a big change in the upcoming fixtures.’

Okumbi has confirmed that fellow new signees Edwin Levatsa and the brother of Southampton’s Victor Wanyama are close to recovering from minor injuries they picked up in training.
